Vice guv to prioritize marginalized sector

VICE Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda assured persons with disabilities (PWDs) and senior citizens of the continuity of programs that will benefit them.

According to the vice governor, aid for education, health and employment for the marginalized sector will be his top priorities if elected as governor in the upcoming elections.

He bared this during the recently held general assembly of 4,608 Persons PWDs and 2,960 senior citizens at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.

“Don’t worry because Nanay [Governor Lilia 'Nanay' Pineda] and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (Provincial Board) will always support PWDs and senior citizens,” he added.

The vice governor also led the distribution of early Christmas gifts for them.

They received P1,000 financial assistance and food packs.

The Widus Foundation Inc. also gave 105 brand new wheelchairs.

Also there to assist Vice-Governor Pineda were board members Rosve Henson, Fritzie David-Dizon and Anthony Joseph Torres, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Angie Blanco, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Elizabeth Baybayan; and staff of the Provincial Budget Office.
