SECOND District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab distributed goods, vitamins and financial assistance to vulnerable sectors of Santa Rita town who have yet to receive assistance from government amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pineda-Cayabyab made true to her promise to help pregnant women and cancer patients as he visited two distribution centers in Santa Rita on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Pineda-Cayabyab visited Barangays San Jose and Diladila.

She earlier met with leaders of Nanay Community Workers (NCW) to consolidate lists of people from various sectors needing assistance.

The provincial legislator distributed food packs and vitamins good for three weeks.

She said she aims to assure vulnerable sectors that the government of the province is one with them in their needs and concerns.

The distribution was also an opportunity for the board member to meet local residents and hear their concerns.

“We hope to reach people who have yet to receive anything amid this ongoing pandemic. It is a statement of assurance that their local government is here for them,” Pineda-Cayabyab said.

She is also set to distribute assistance in the coming days for other sectors like persons with disabilities, transport groups and the gay and lesbian communities.

Funding for the assistance will be sourced from her personal funds.
