Ian Ocampo Flora

SANTA Rita Mayor Ferdinand Salalila announced on Thursday, July 16, the recovery of all active coronavirus-patients in the town with zero active cases for two days now.

This town had earlier recorded 12 coronavirus cases, two of which have recovered a few months back.

Salalila said the 10 recent active cases have all received and tested negative for the virus.

Patient 3, however, is still in the hospital due to order illness.

Salalila still reminded local residents to be mindful of the existing quarantine and health protocols.

He added that the town will still strictly implement health protocols in the barangays.

Quarantine lockdowns in the areas where the previous active cases resided were also lifted as of Thursday, July 16.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
