SELF-CONFESSED drug lord Franz Sabalones was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman in Quezon City early morning of Maundy Thursday, April 18.

Sabalones reportedly came from a billiard house along Timog Avenue in Quezon City when the assailant shot him, police said.

He was carrying with him an identification card of a "pastor of Reform Adventist Church Sabbath Day Keeper" as missionary preacher Reverend Jerome Cabilao.

In August 2016, Sabalones surrendered to then Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa in Camp Crame after he was named by President Rodrigo Duterte as a drug protector.

He was not arrested by the police then as there has been no warrant of arrest issued against him. (From Superbalita Cebu)
