GILUWAS sa mga kasundalohan ang nabiyaan nga sakop sa New People’s Army (NPA) human sa engkwentro nga natigayon niadtong Nobiyembre 2 sa Barangay Isidro, Santiago, Agusan del Norte.

Atol sa engkwentro sa kakahoyan nga bahin, usa ka NPA nakabsan sa kinabuhi samtang laing usa ang nabiyaan nga samdan.

Narekober sa tropa ang M4 rifle ug duha ka magazine nga puno pa sa bala ug duha ka bandoliers, usa ka anti-personnel mines, medicine kit, usa ka UHF handheld radio, ug backpack nga adunay mga dokumento.

Usa ka alyas Kevin ang giluwas sa kasundalohan human giabandona dihang dili na makadagan kay samdan ang tiil ug gitambalan kini sa tropa.

“This is a clear evidence that your Diamond troopers are professional soldiers who strictly adhere with the provisions of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL). I commend the brave and professional troops of the 29IB (29th Infantry Battalion) for saving the life of the wounded NPA, for we believe that life is precious and everyone deserves a second chance to live peacefully.”

Matud ni Major General Franco Nemesio Gacal, commander sa 4th Infantry Division, uban sa panawagan nga mosurender na ang uban kauban sa walhong grupo.

“I continue to urge those who are still hiding in fear in the mountains to surrender and return to the folds of law and avail the programs of the government while you still can,” dugang ni Gacal.
