Ang Community-Driven Development (CDD) nga pamaagi maoy estratehiya sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa pagtubag sa kalisdanan.

Kini nipadayon sa paghatag og gahom sa mga komunidad, ang poverty alleviation program Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) nahimong modelo sa good local governance.

Usa ka estratehiya gipatuman sa local government unit (LGU) sa Corella, Bohol nga naghatag og igong gahom sa boluntarismo sa komunidad, pinaagi sa pagpaapil kanila sa planning, budgeting, ug pagpatuman sa giilang nag-unang panginahanglan sa ilang dapit.

Ang LGU Corella nisugod sa programa aron makahatag og benepisyo sa konstituwente.

Ang CDD initiative sa Corella namugna gikan sa KALAHI-CIDSS, mga proseso sa pag-ila sa komunidad nga mohukom ug moila sa ilang proyekto.

Sa Corella, kini nga mga proyekto kabahin sa CDD’s main objective nga paghatag og gahom sa katawhan.

Si Municipal Mayor Hilario D. Tocmo nagkanayon nga “Without any bias, KALAHI-CIDSS helped us in so many ways. Because it is purely an empowerment program, people are now able to participate in different activities and they are not allowed to see their hard work being put to waste. Instead, they own up the projects because of the resources and contribution they have imparted during project implementation.”

Ang Municipal Development Council Resolution No. 2019-03 nagsugyot sa pagpatuman sa investment programs alang sa socio-economic development nga mapundohan, busa 20% sa annual budget gikan sa Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) nahimong pahat sa ilang Municipal Annual Priority Development Plan. (PR)
