SA PAGSAULOG ning tuiga sa National Indigenous Peoples Month, ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII nipasiugda na usab sa Indigenous People (IP) Summit, diin giapilan sa nagkalainlaing IP groups sa region 7.

Ang Eskaya Tribe sa Candijay, Bohol; Bajau Community sa Dauis, Bohol; Magahat Tribe sa Basay, Negros Oriental; Tribu Bukidnon sa Ayungon, Negros Oriental; ug Sama Bajau sa Cebu City ang nangapil sa IP groups ubos sa Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program of the DSWD.

Ang two-day IP summit gitumong da pagto recims the Indiggitmong sa Cultural Communities/Indigenous People who preserve Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices, nagpakita sa posiive traditional tribal Filipino culture ug build affirmative influence sa cultural community nga ilang nasunod.

Sa unang adlaw sa IP summit, ang participating IP groups nipasundayag sa ilang tagsatagsa nga tribal dances sa Monday convocation sa field office.

Atol sa kalihokany, ang mga partisipante nagtuki sa basic concept sa gender sensitivity ug pamaagi sa pagtubag sa posible nga gender-based violence ug other gender related issues nga giatubang sa kalakin-an ug kababayen-an sa managlahing tribu nga hinungdan nga non-compliance sa Pantawid Program conditions.

Pag-andam sa plano alang sa pagtubag sa mga isyu sa programa ug pagkabana sa pagpalambo sa tubag o komitadong kauban sa mosunod nga pagpatuman sa programa kabahin sa ilang workshop sa kalihokan.
