ANG Zonta Club of Cebu 1 nipasidungog sa unom ka Outstanding Public High School Graduates (TOP-HSG) sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo aron pagsuporta sa katungod sa kababayen-an nga maedukar bisan sa mga hagit dala sa Covid-19 pandemic.

“The year 2020 brought an additional burden to women as the Covid-19 pandemic erupted, displacing many workers in the developing countries. Many of whom were women in sectors like tourism, marketing and communications where most women were employed. They were the first to lose their jobs,” matod ni Zonta Club of Cebu 1 president Gina Garcia-Atienza.

Tungod niini, si Atienza niingon nga ilang gilusad ang search aron pagkab-ot sa patas nga gender ug pagpalapad sa kahigayunan ug partisipasyon sa kababayen-an sa edukasyon ug ekonomiya.

Dunay 12 ka mga aplikante nga nisalmot sa written essay requirement, pito ang ning-qualify sa interview ug unom ang napili isip TOP-HSG awardees.

Tinambayayungan tali sa Department of Education Cebu City Division Office, ang Zonta Club of Cebu 1 ni-award kanila ni Fatima Alipar, Alexandra Cañete, Roselyn Dagodog, Erika Jarlata, Jahaira Redelosa ug Quisha Villacorta.

Matod ni Atienza nga ang tanang awardees na-enroll sa Bachelor of Science courses nga nagpabiling mahinungdanong natad alang sa kababayen-an nga molambo ning modernong mga panahon sama sa engineering, environment ug healthcare. (JOB)
