16-year-old suspect yields 'shabu,' gun in Tacloban

A 16-YEAR-OLD male was arrested on Friday, October 23, for alleged possession of illegal drugs and a firearm following an alarm and scandal incident in Tacloban City.

Police identified the suspect as an out-of-school youth, single, and a resident of the city.

Seized from the suspect (name withheld for being a minor) were a caliber .22 revolver loaded with two live ammunition, one heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet containing substance believed to be shabu with estimated value of P2,000, and a lighter.

The operation was led by Lieutenant Rey Baldicano Jr. of Tacloban City Police Office-Station 2 Drug Enforcement Unit under the supervision of Major Daniel Polo, station commander. (SunStar Philippines)
