3 NPA members surrender in Eastern Samar

THREE alleged members of the New People’s Army (NPA) surrendered to the authorities in Eastern Samar Friday, September 30, 2022.

The surrenderers were identified as alias Onrak, 29, farmer, single and a resident of Dolores; alias Cardo/Yulo/Parte, 50, of Can-avid; and alias Padak/Yolly/Mae, 49, of Can-avid in Eastern Samar.

In the information released by Police Regional Office in Eastern Visayas, it said the three rebels voluntarily surrendered “with a promise that they will totally denounce and strongly condemn the communist terrorist group.”

The rebels are now placed in temporary protection of the Eastern Samar Police Provincial Office (Esppo) while processing their documents to avail the national government’s Enhanced- Comprehensive Livelihood Program (E-Clip). (SunStar Philippines)
