52-year-old man nabbed for 24 counts of rape

POLICE nabbed on Tuesday, September 17, a 52-year-old man from Ormoc City over 24 counts of rape.

Authorities identified the suspect as Leonilo Talatayod, driver, who has been listed as number two most wanted person in Ormoc City.

Talatayod was arrested around 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, in Quezon City by operatives of Ormoc City Mobile Force Company-Intelligence Branch led by Chief Master Sergeant Benedicto Cabelto and under the direct supervision of Colonel Armel Gongona, Ormoc City police director.

The arrest was also in coordination with the University of the Philippines-Diliman Police and Quezon City Police Department.

Talatayod was nabbed by virtue of order of arrest dated November 20, 2017 for violation of Section 5(b) of Republic Act (RA) 7610 and 24 counts of rape under Article 266-A paragraph 1(A) of the Revised Penal Code as amended by RA 8353. (SunStar Philippines)
