Eastern Visayas Covid-19 cases breach 4,000-mark

THE total number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Eastern Visayas has breached the 4,000-mark following the additional 54 cases on Friday evening, September 18, 2020, bringing the total number of cases to 4,078.

Eastern Visayas Regional Covid-19 Testing Center (EVRCTC) released a total of 585 laboratory results, of which 554 are negative and 31 are positive for Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the Divine Word Hospital Virology Laboratory (DWHVL) released a total of 229 laboratory results on Friday. Of the number, 206 are negative and 23 are positive for the virus.

As of Friday evening, the Department of Health (DOH)- Eastern Visayas reported the region's total recoveries at 3,438 (84.31 percent) and total deaths at 41 (1 percent), with total active cases at 599 (14.69 percent). (SunStar Philippines)
