Eastern Visayas logs 2 more Covid-19 deaths, 157 new cases

CORONAVIRUS disease (Covid-19) killed two more patients and infected 157 other individuals in Eastern Visayas Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

The fatalities were identified as a 67-year-old male from Calbayog City who died on November 2 and a 68-year-old female from Las Navas, Northern Samar who died on October 31.

The Department of Health (DOH) said the additional 157 cases were recorded out of 1,005 laboratory samples tested in two laboratories in the region.

The 157 new confirmed cases are from Tacloban City (5), Ormoc City (2), Alang-alang (1), Albuera (6), Dulag (1), Jaro (1), Javier (3), Julita (2), Palo (10), San Isidro (1), Calbayog City (9), Gandara (1), General Macarthur (10), Giporlos (8), Salcedo (14), Capul (2), Catarman (11), Catubig (2), Las Navas (18), Lope de Vega (11), Mondragon (13), Palapag (4), Pambujan (7), San Roque (10), Victoria (2), Anahawan (1) and Maasin City (2).

A total of 416 recoveries were also logged on Wednesday, November 3.

Eastern Visayas has a total of 7,046 Covid-19 cases, 6,379 (90.52 percent) recoveries, 66 (0.94 percent) deaths, and 601 (8.53 percent) active cases. (SunStar Philippines)
