Eastern Visayas logs 4 new Covid-19 cases, 31 recoveries

EASTERN Visayas recorded four new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and 31 new recoveries on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Divine Word Hospital Virology Laboratory released a total of 82 results in two batches, with 71 negative and 11 positive for Covid-19.

Of the 11 positives, four are new cases while seven are re-swab results of Patients EV-361, 362, 446, 447, 448 from Palo, Leyte, EV-504 from Bato, Leyte and EV-534 from Villaba, Leyte.

The four new cases are tagged as patients EV-578 to 581, according to the Department of Health-Eastern Visayas.

The four new Covid-19 cases are from Carigara, Leyte, a 23-year-old female and a locally stranded individual (LSI) from Quezon City; Villaba, Leyte, a 23-year-old female and an LSI from Cebu City; Julita, Leyte, a 32-year-old female and an LSI from Manila; and Abuyog, Leyte, a 32-year-old male and an LSI from Cebu.

As of Saturday, the total number of recoveries from Covid-19 in Eastern Visayas is at 352 or 60.58 percent, while the total number of cases is at 581. (SunStar Philippines)
