Farmer stabs drinking buddies in Leyte

A 44-YEAR-OLD farmer was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his two drinking companions in Burauen, Leyte Monday, August 10, 2020.

Police identified the suspect as Edgar Avila, a resident Barangay Limburan, Burauen.

The victims, Rogelio Paza and Baltasar Alber, were rushed to Burauen District Hospital for medical treatment after the incident, which happened at 4:14 p.m. Monday in Barangay Libas.

Initial investigation revealed that the victims and the suspect had a drinking spree as the village celebrated its fiesta when the latter drew a short bladed weapon tucked on his waist and stabbed the victims.
