NPA member surrenders in Eastern Samar

A 54-YEAR-OLD suspected member of the New People’s Army surrendered to authorities in Dolores, Eastern Samar Thursday, August 5, 2021.

Intelligence personnel of First Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company identified the surrenderer as alias Berting, married, and a resident of Dolores town.

Authorities said he was a regular NPA member and an educational officer of Barangay Organizing Party in the town.

The alleged rebel member is set to avail the national government’s Enhanced- Comprehensive Livelihood Program, according to the information released by Police Regional Office-Eastern Visayas. (SunStar Philippines)
