Over 2,500 jobs up for grab on Labor Day in Tacloban, Ormoc

MORE than 2,500 local and overseas jobs are available in the Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan Job and Business Fairs in Eastern Visayas in celebration of the 120th Labor Day on May 1, 2022.

Labor Regional Director Henry John Jalbuena said the two job fairs will be held at Robinsons North Tacloban City and Ormoc Superdome in Ormoc City.

“We are thankful to our partner local government units and employers here in Eastern Visayas for their usual participation and support to the various DOLE programs, particularly in the conduct of job fairs,” Jalbuena said.

As of April 27, some 943 job vacancies from 48 participating local employers will be available at the Tacloban Job Fair while 1,356 jobs from 12 employers are waiting for jobseekers in Ormoc.

At least three recruitment agencies have also confirmed to join the job fairs with 1,650 overseas jobs being offered, according to the labor department in the region.

Jobs available on May 1 include call center agents, accounting staff, electricians, nurses, medical technologists, teachers, bartenders, customer service representatives, drivers, production crew, mechanics, store supervisors, cashiers and financial advisors, among others. (SunStar Philippines)
