Red fighter yields in Lope de Vega town

A BARANGAY kagawad who was said to be a member of the New People’s Army voluntarily surrendered in Lope De Vega, Northern Samar Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Alias Bugard, 42, and alleged member of the armed wing of Communist Party of the Philippines, also turned over his caliber 9mm Ingram with two magazines and 10 rounds of ammunition, according to the information released by the Police Regional Office-Eastern Visayas.

He was listed as secretary of Batakang Organisasyong Pangpartido of SRC Emporium in Catarman-Lope de Vega area, the report added.

His surrender was facilitated by 1st Northern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company (NSPMFC), together with the Philippine Army’s 43rd Infantry Battalion, and The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Northern Samar Provincial Field Office.

The surrenderer was brought to 1st NSPMFC for proper documentation and disposition. (SunStar Philippines)
