Teen motor-riding assassins nabbed in Northern Samar

POLICE arrested two teenagers who were suspects in the shooting of a 39-year-old man in Mondragon, Northern Samar Tuesday morning, January 14.

The suspects, a student and out-of-school youth both 17 years old, were cornered in a checkpoint at Barangay Dale in the next town of San Roque about 20 minutes after they shot a self-employed married man identified as Haron Omar Torres.

Torres, a resident of Mondragon, was on board his motorcycle to fetch his wife at the Northern Samar Provincial Hospital in Catarman when two unidentified assailants on board their motorcycles shot him from behind at around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday along the national highway of Barangay San Agustin in Mondragon.

The victim was brought to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

The police coordinated with other units in the area to arrest the suspects.

Recovered from the scene was one empty shell of caliber .45.
