Vietnamese yields agarwood in Tacloban

A 44-YEAR-OLD Vietanamese national was arrested for illegal possession of 3.115 kilos of agarwood in Tacloban City Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

Police identified the suspect as Nguyen Phuoc, a resident of V&G Subdivision, Tacloban.

The operation was conducted by Tacloban City Police Station-City Intelligence Unit led by Major Leonides Sydiongco, Regional Anti-Illegal Gambling Task Force (RAIGTF)-Eastern Visayas Tracker led by Lieutenant Kemy Bas, and Police Station 1 headed by Major Edwin Edwin Cañamaque.

Charges will be filed against the suspect for violating the Presidential Decree 705, or the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines. (SunStar Philippines)
