1 nabbed, P340,000 shabu seized

AN ALLEGED big-time drug trader was arrested by joint policemen and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, a top police official said Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, identified the arrested suspect as Abdulhan Burahan alias Kah.

Lorenzo said that Burahan was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, at Sun Flower Drive in Canelar village.

Lorenzo said that Burahan was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover policeman.

He said recovered from the suspect’s possession were some 50 grams of suspected shabu packed in 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P340,000, a bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill used as marked money, two P1 coins and a plastic bag.

He said the suspect was detained while charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
