16 agri-tech complete artificial insemination training

SIXTEEN agriculture technicians from different towns and provinces of Zamboanga Peninsula completed Friday, July 15, 2022, the 25-day Basic Training Course on Pregnancy Diagnosis and Artificial Insemination in Cattle and Water Buffaloes.

The training conducted by the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Zamboanga Peninsula Livestock Program from June 20 until July 15.

The training is intended to boost the production of cattle and water buffaloes in the region.

DA-Zamboanga Peninsula Executive Director Rad Donn Cedeño said that the training was held at the Philippine Carabao Center in Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte while the plenaries and completion ceremony at a hotel in Ipil, the capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay province.

The participants of the training are now recognized by the DA Livestock Program to conduct artificial insemination activities in their respective towns.

Meanwhile, 100 concerned stakeholders in Zamboanga del Sur attended Tuesday, July 19, the retooling seminar on Registration and Accreditation of Livestock Handler and Transport Carrier conducted by the DA-Zamboanga Peninsula. (SunStar Zamboanga)
