2 die, 1 hurt in Zamboanga stabbing incident

TWO people were killed in a stabbing incident late Monday in Pasonanca village, Zamboanga City, the police said Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

Chief Inspector Arlan Delumpines, Police Station 7 chief, identified the victims as Maria Fely Agustin, 48, and her son, Pedie, 30.

Wounded and hospitalized was Jay-Ar, also a son of Maria Fely.

Delumpines said they were allegedly stabbed by Joel Onggon, 30, the son-in-law of Maria Fely.

The police chief said the incident took place around 10:50 p.m. Monday near the Boy Scout of the Philippines campsite in said village when the victims, Pedie and Jay-Ar, engaged in a verbal tussle with the suspect that ended violently while they were having a drinking spree.

Delumpines said Maria Fely was fatally hit when she was trying to pacify the two.
