2 HVTs drug personalities nabbed

TWO high-value targets (HVTs) were arrested as the anti-drug operations in Zamboanga Peninsula continue without let-up, the police reported Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested HVT drug suspects as Fich Gerald Mondaniedo, 29, and Ariel Trabanca, 31, who are listed as the top 1 and top 9 priority target, respectively.

Ylagan said the two were arrested by joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency team in an anti-drug operation around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Purok B, Cainglet village, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Ylagan said recovered from the two suspects were some three grams of suspected shabu worth P24,000 and four P1,000 bills used as boodle money topped with one genuine P500 bill as marked money.

He said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects. (SunStar Zamboanga)
