2 militiamen nabbed in anti-drug sting

TWO militiamen tagged as high-value targets (HVT) were arrested in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Thursday, March 4, 2021.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the two arrested militiamen as follows: Mohammad Paksa Ping alias Kambal, 18, top six HVT; and, Abraham Chua Taha, 27, a high-value individual level 1.

Duco said the two militiamen were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday in Sibigtol Drive in Arena Blanco village, this city.

Seized from the two were some P27,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.

He said the suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
