2 nabbed in Sibugay anti-drug stings

TWO people were arrested while close to P50,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Police Colonel Eduard Mallo, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the arrested suspects as Loreto Camocamo Lumiguid, 30, and Bader Manggis Nonong, 28.

Mallo said that Lumiguid was arrested around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, in Purok Lover’s Lane, Masao village, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Seized from Lumiguid were some two grams of suspected shabu worth P13,600 and P500 marked money consisting of five P100 bills.

Mallo said that Nonong was arrested in another anti-drug operation around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in Purok New Jerusalem, Don Andres village, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

He said seized from the suspect were some five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000 and 13 pieces of P1,000 bill boodle money topped with one genuine P500 bill as marked money.

Mallo said the two suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
