2 wanted persons nabbed in separate ops

TWO people, including Top 8 Most Wanted Person, were arrested in separate operations in the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur, the police said.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified those arrested as Rickel Itom, 29 and Ernie Bueno, 39.

Galvez said Itom was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, November 15, at Purok 3 in Senote village, Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.

She said Itom is the Top 8 Most Wanted Person in Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte and has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape in relation of Republic Act (RA) 7610 otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act with no recommended bail issued by the court of Dipolog City.

The police officer said Bueno was arrested around 1 p.m. same day at Purok 6 in Poblacion village, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur.

She said Bueno has stand warrant of arrest of violation of RA 9262 otherwise known as Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 with no recommended bail issued on September 28, 2018 by the court of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
