3 nabbed in Zamboanga City drug bust

THREE persons, including a high-value target, were arrested, while P59,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug

operations Tuesday, February 25, in Zamboanga City.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Ryan Campo, 32, the number six priority target; Zairal Naing, 36, a mechanic; and Mahadil Antong, 20, a newly-identified drug personality.

Duco said Campo and Naing were arrested in a drug bust around 2 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, at Apolinario Loop in the village of Guiwan.

Seized from them were P22,800 worth of substance believed to be shabu, P1,200 worth of dried marijuana leaves, and P200 marked money.

Duco said Antong was arrested in another drug bust around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, in Zone 1, Barangay Cawit.

Recovered from Antong were P35,000 worth of shabu and PO200 marked money.

Duco said appropriate charges are set to be filed against the suspects, who have been detained. (SunStar Zamboanga)
