3 nabbed, P170-K illegal drugs seized

POLICE have arrested three persons and seized some P170,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City.

Senior Inspector Shellamie Chang, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, identified the arrested suspects as follows: Adalmie Susulan, 33, a motorcycle taxi (habal-habal driver); Jaber Amarul, 40, pedicab driver; and Arsadar Jaji, 35, public utility jeep driver.

Chang said the three were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, November 15, in the village of Recodo.

Allegedly confiscated from the possession of the suspects were P170,000 worth of suspected methampethamine hydrochloride, or shabu, packed in 13 heat-sealed plastic sachets, P300 marked money and assorted illegal drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Philippines)
