3 Sayyaf men surrender to military authorities

THREE Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) members have surrendered as the military offensive against them continue in Sulu province, the military said Friday, July 13, 2018.

Brigadier General Divino Rey Pabayo, Joint Task Force Sulu commander, said the three have surrendered at 2:12 p.m. Thursday in Camp General Teodulfo Bautista in Bus-Bus village, Jolo, the capital of the province.

Pabayo identified the ASG surrenderers as follows: Radjuli Hadjijani, 25; Jun-Jun Elah, 45; and, Indek Sahimarri, 28.

Pabayo said they yielded three caliber .30 M1 Garand rifles.

The surrender of the three has brought to a total of 127 ASG members who have surrendered to military authorities since January this year.

Of the total, 58 have surrendered in Sulu, 62 in Basilan, five in Tawi-Tawi and two in Zamboanga City. (SunStar Philippines)
