4 drug suspects nabbed in 2 anti-drug stings

LAWMEN have arrested four people and seized some P75,332 worth of illegal drugs in separate anti-drug operations in the province of Tawi-Tawi, the police reported Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

The Tawi-Tawi Provincial Police Office identified the arrested suspects as the following: Hogan Husain, 31; Annie Barahama, 32; Arl-Bazhier Soriano, 39; Annuar Saribban, 28.

The police said Husain and Barahama were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 8:20 a.m. Sunday, November 20, in Pasiagan village, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

Seized from them were P20,332 worth of suspected shabu packed in five heat-sealed plastic sachets and 33 heat-sealed plastic straws.

The police said that hours later, Soriano and Saribban were arrested in another buy-bust operation in Poblacion village, Bongao.

Recovered from Soriano and Saribban were some eight grams of suspected shabu packed in three medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P55,000.

The arrested suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them.

Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General John Guyguyon, Police Regional Offoce-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, commended the operating policemen for their intensified and persistent drug bust operations in the pursuit of eradicating the illegal drug trade in the autonomous region. (SunStar Zamboanga)
