4 nabbed in 2 anti-drug operations

FOUR people were arrested in separate drug busts as the government authorities continues the campaign against illegal drugs amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) crisis, an official said Wednesday, April 8.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Rosalie Llanos Badrina, 37; Jolieto Caroro Ferrer, 38; Benhar Tantong Hadjiula, 36; and, Den-Omar Bamuhid Abibain, 21.

Galvez said Badrina and Ferrer were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1 p.m. Tuesday at Purok 6, Star Apple, Sangali village, this city.

She said seized from the two suspects were some P6,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and P200 marked money.

Hadjiula and Abibain were arrested in another drug bust around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday in Maasin village, Galvez added.

She said confiscated from the them were some P20,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.

She added that the suspects were detained while formal charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
