7 nabbed, P150,000 shabu seized

SEVEN drug personalities, including a high-value target (HVT), were arrested while some P150,000 worth of suspected shabu seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga City, the police reported.

The Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula identified the two HVT suspect as Nashrun Amaan, 31, who was arrested along with four others namely: Ariel Talondong; Joel Debosora; Joseller Beronio; and, Reggie Beronio.

The police said they were arrested in a buy-bust around 1:30 p.m. Friday at Purok Mangga in the village of Caparan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Seized from the five were some P130,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in 14 heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.

The police said the other two arrested suspects, Julkipli Anni, 32 and Ricardo Concepcion, 59, were arrested also in a buy-bust around 10:30 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Sampaloc Drive in the village of Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.

Recovered from the two were some P20,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in eight heat-sealed plastic sachets, two plastic packs of suspected dried marijuana leaves, a weighing scale, and P200 marked money.

The suspects were detained while charges are set to be filed against them, the police said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
