A TOTAL of 80 traveling merchants are set to join the "Baratilyo Sale" of this year's Zamboanga Hermosa Festival.

Benjie Barredo, City Permits and Licensing Division chief, said the "Baratilyo Sale" starts on September 29 and ends on October 31.

The traveling merchants will be issued special business permits to allow them to do business during the Hermosa Festival, he said, adding that they will be allotted a space along R.T. Lim Boulevard.

Barredo said the participating traveling merchants are from Manila, Albay, Cebu, Iloilo, Surigao, Davao, General Santos City, and Tawi-Tawi.

Traveling merchants are businessmen who travel from one place to another to sell goods especially during special occasions of a particular city, town or province.

Among the goods they sell are ready-to-wear garments, carpentry tools, and household items, among others.
