THE Army's 102nd Infantry Brigade has opened a water refilling station to serve its personnel and the community at the camp premises in Ipil, the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Named Water Point 91 “Sambisig,” the water refilling station was inaugurated Saturday, June 19.

The water refilling station is a project donated by Engineer Glen Letran Omaña and aims to provide clean and sustainable potable water for the personnel of the 102nd Infantry Brigade.

Omaña, a businessman from Zamboanga del Norte, said the project is part of his corporate social responsibility for the benefit of the soldiers and their dependents.

“We are very thankful to the kind-hearted stakeholders who recognizes the sacrifices of our men and assist us in providing basic needs and better living-conditions to improve their morale and welfare,” said Brigadier General Leonel Nicolas, 102nd Infantry Brigade commander.

Nicolas said the Water Point 91 is currently providing water refilling services to organic personnel and other Army units residing within the brigade premises in Sanito village, Ipil. (SunStar Zamboanga)
