A SUSPECTED big time drug personality was arrested while some P40,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in a drug bust in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police said Friday.

The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) identified the arrested suspect as Emmeh Kudarat, 39, a resident of Purok 3 in Sangali village who is listed as top 4 illegal drug personality of this village.

The police said the suspect was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in a drug bust at the fishing port in Sangali village.

The police said seized were P40,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets and P300 marked money.

The suspect was detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against him, the police said. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
