British nabbed in Zamboanga del Norte

AUTHORITIES arrested a British national for violence against women and children in Zamboanga del Norte province.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the British national as Christopher Moore, 54, from Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, United Kingdom.

Galvez said Moore was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 28 in his temporary residence in Madalag village, Jose Dalman town.

She said Moore will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9262 otherwise known as the “Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004” with a P80,000 recommended bail issued on November 21 by the court of Dipolog City. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
