Cops arrest wanted person in Zamboanga del Sur town

POLICE authorities have arrested a wanted person in a law enforcement operation in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, an official said.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Salveno Padin Pastoriza, 45, a resident of Purok Hibino in Poblacion village, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur.

Duco said Pastoriza was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 7 a.m. Sunday in Senior village, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur.

Duco said the suspect has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of attempted murder with P120,000 recommended bail issued in June 25, 2020 by the court of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur province.

He said Pastoriza is temporarily detained at Pitogo Municipal Police Station custodial facility while waiting for commitment order from the court. (SunStar Zamboanga)
