Cops, PDEA nab drug personality in Zambo Norte

JOINT policemen and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested a high-value target (HVT) in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police said Saturday, May 30.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested drug personality as Sonny Boy Rellen, 32.

Galvez said Rellen was arrested in a drug bust at 10:46 p.m. Friday in San Miguel Village, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

She said recovered from Rellen were some P45,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in seven heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.

Galvez said the suspect, listed as HVT drug personality in Liloy, was arrested sometime in 2015 in Ipil, the capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay.

She added that the suspect availed plea-bargaining agreement at that time and was released. (SunStar Zamboanga)
