Cops serve arrest warrant vs CICL

LAWMEN have served a warrant of arrest against a child in conflict with the law (CICL) presently undergoing rehabilitation program in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Police Colonel Eduard Mallo, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, said the warrant of arrest was served to Christian Olmedilla alias Tintang, 16, around 4:38 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, at the “Bahay Pag-Asa” Provincial Rehabilitation Center for Youth in Ipil Heights village, Ipil.

Mallo said the warrant of arrest dated October 19, 2022 was served against the teenager was for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with no recommended bail issued by court of Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.

He said Mary Jane Tarranza, center head of Bahay Pag-Asa, witnessed the service of warrant against one of her clients.

Mallo said the accused remains under the custody of “Bahay Pag-Asa” Provincial Rehabilitation Center for Youth. (SunStar Zamboanga)
