Dance instructor nabbed with P340K in ‘shabu’

A DANCE instructor (DI) was arrested while some P340,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, a top police official said Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, identified the arrested suspect as Ronnel Atilano, 45, a resident of Camino Nuevo village.

Lorenzo said that Atilano, a dance instructor, was arrested in an anti-drug operation at a motel around 8:03 p.m. Monday in Canelar village.

Lorenzo said that seized from Atilano were some 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, a plastic bag, a smart phone, 79 counterfeit P1,000 bills used as boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 marked money.

He said the arrested suspect was detained while charges are readied against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
