Drug syndicate member arrested in Zamboanga Sibugay

A DRUG syndicate member was arrested in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Saturday, November 21, 2020.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the suspect as Ramil Matino Inso, 37.

Duco said Inso was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:45 a.m. Friday in Purok Gumamela in Tenan village, Ipil, the capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay.

He said recovered from the possession of Inso were some P15,000 worth of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and a cellular phone.

Duco said Inso is a member of a drug syndicate known as Bensaw, a sub-group of the Tenan Asbi Samdani drug group, which operates in Zamboanga Sibugay.

He said formal charges are set to be filed against the suspect, who was detained. (SunStar Zamboanga)
