COUNCILOR Joselito Macrohon is set to launch project #OperationSHOEBOX-Healthy Christmas Edition that will benefit 500 indigent elementary school children in Zamboanga City.

Macrohon said the project will be launched on December 21, 22, and 23, this year in partnership with the Occupational Health Nurses Association of the Philippines (OHNAP)-Zamboanga Peninsula chapter.

Macrohon said the Healthy Christmas Edition of the project entails a special twist with the incorporation of health components, that aims to support financially-challenged or indigent children of this city.

Macrohon said the project also aims to “paint smiles on their faces, by giving them Shoebox Gifts containing school supplies and basic hygiene kits which endeavors to support their education and promote proper hygiene practice.”

The Shoebox Christmas Edition is the second humanitarian project Macrohon has launched this year.

In June this year, Macrohon launched the Shoebox project in time for the opening of classes. (SunStar Zamboanga)
