Militiaman dies, pal wounded in highway accident

A MILITIAMAN was killed while another was injured in a highway accident in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police said Thursday, March 8.

The Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula said that the incident occurred around 3 p.m. Wednesday along national highway in Doña Josefa village, Sindangan, this province.

The police identified the fatality as Artemio Mabisa, 48, a militiaman.

Wounded was Elmer Arcadio, 49, also a militiaman. He was admitted at the Sindangan District Hospital for treatment.

Investigation showed the two were aboard a motorcycle traveling to the Maras village, Sindangan from Saluyong, Manukan when Arcadio lost control of the steering bar upon reaching a blind curve and crashed on the pavement.
