Mine worker dies in Zamboanga gun attack

A MINE worker was killed in a gun attack in Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay, the police said Friday, November 2.

The Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office identified the fatality as Dexter Daniel, 42, who succumbed to a bullet wound in the head.

The police said the incident happened around 8 p.m. Thursday at Purok Bonifacio in Little Baguio village, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Investigation showed the victim was playing a card game at the residence of a neighbor when the suspect arrived and shot the victim without any apparent reason.

The victim was rushed but failed to reach the hospital alive.
