Most wanted, crime group member nabbed

JOINT police and military operatives have arrested in a law enforcement operation a crime group member and one of the most wanted persons in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, an official announced Friday, July 31, 2020.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula spokesperson, identified the arrested suspects as Jerald Matingor Cabillon, 33, a resident of Lower Salud Daku village, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Duco said Cabillon, who works as a security guard, was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of a warrant of arrest around 5 p.m. Thursday on Bayani Road in Fort Bonifacio village, Taguig City.

Duco said the suspect has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no bail recommended issued on January 18, 2018, by the court of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.

He said the suspect is the Top 3 most wanted person in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur and is a member of Ex-Don Victoriano Criminal Group, which is involved in gun-for-hire operating in Zamboanga del Sur and other provinces of Zamboanga Peninsula.

He said the suspect is temporarily detained at Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
