Most wanted in 2 Sibugay towns nabbed

LAWMEN arrested one of the most wanted person in two Zamboanga Sibugay towns in a manhunt operation in that province, a top police official said Tuesday, April 23.

Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Marhum Sarahento, 34, a coal mine worker and a resident of Purok C in Salipyasin village, Kabasalan.

Police Brigadier General Licup said Sarahento was arrested around 4:20 p.m. Monday at Purok Macapagal in the village of Poblacion, Diplahan.

Licup said Sarehento is listed as the number two most wanted person in Kabasalan and has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued by the court in Ipil, the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay province.

He said Sarahento is also listed as the number six most wanted person in the town of Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur and has existing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no bail recommended issued by the court of San Miguel municipality of the same province.
