Most wanted nabbed in Zamboanga del Sur

ONE of the most wanted persons in the country was arrested in a law enforcement operation in Zamboanga del Sur province, the police said Tuesday, December 11.

Arrested was Paulino Campomanes, 67, according to Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director.

Licup said Campomanes was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 7:40 p.m. Monday at Purok Bakhaw B in Kawit village, Pagadian City.

He said Campomanes has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued on March 25, 2002 by the court of this city.

He said the suspect was placed under the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Camp Abelon, Pagadian City.
