Night market opens August 15

EVERYTHING is set for the opening of the Night Market on Monday, August 15, which will run until October 31 in Zamboanga City.

The Night Market is one of the activities for the 2022 Zamboanga Hermosa Festival, the highlight of which is the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, this city’s most revered patron saint on October 12.

Mayor John Dalipe issued Executive Order No. JD 2022-014 for the establishment of a city-sponsored and operated night market along the stretch of Rizal Street, from Villalobos Street to Veterans Avenue Extension.

Benjie Barredo, Business Permit and Licensing Office chief, said that a total of 106 retail stalls and 14 food truck stalls will be participating in the event

The operation of the night market is from 6 p.m. to midnight Mondays through Saturdays.

Mayor John Dalipe will lead the opening of the Night Market Monday, August 15.
