Over 1,000 cops in Zamboanga Peninsula promoted

A TOTAL of 1,072 personnel of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula were promoted to the next higher ranks.

Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, PRO-Zambanga Peninsula director, said the newly promoted personnel composed of 53 Police Commission Officers and 1,019 Non-Commission Officers assigned with the different units and offices in the region.

Ylagan administered Friday afternoon, January 15, 2021 the simultaneous mass oath-taking and donning of ranks of the newly-promoted police personnel at the quadrangle of Camp Colonel Romeo Abendan that houses the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula in Mercedes village.

Ylagan told the newly-promoted personnel that their promotion gives them greater influence and greater responsibilities and at the same time an acknowledgement of their professional competence.

The 1,072 promotees were applicants of the second semester Current Year 2020 second level regular promotion program. (SunStar Zamboanga)
